  • 20世紀(jì)50年代法國化學(xué)家E·Calvet教授設(shè)計(jì)制作了卡爾維式熱檢測器,被測樣品及參比物置于由幾百至幾千對(duì)熱電偶串聯(lián)組成的環(huán)繞型檢測器中,環(huán)繞型檢測器將整個(gè)樣品池四周及上下部的部分空間“全部包圍”起來,樣品在實(shí)驗(yàn)過程中所產(chǎn)生的總熱量有95%以上被檢測出來,相對(duì)靈敏度(絕對(duì)靈敏度/樣品容量)非常高,可以測到非常微弱的熱量變化(例如細(xì)菌活動(dòng)產(chǎn)生的熱變化),并且具有非常高的信號(hào)穩(wěn)定性。參比物用于減弱樣品池及外部環(huán)境對(duì)熱效應(yīng)的干擾。  整個(gè)量熱儀所形成的“絕熱”環(huán)境,可保持其恒溫穩(wěn)定性達(dá)到±0.001~0.00001℃,可以作為開放體系進(jìn)行內(nèi)、外部的固-固、氣-固、液-固、液-液等二相間的交換反應(yīng)實(shí)驗(yàn),這是普通熱分析產(chǎn)品所無法達(dá)到的。如用微熱測量表征混合物組分間相互作用、相容性、液體比熱和催化劑的吸附/解吸等。
